I’m Julia Korn, a career and executive coach, speaker, and founder of the Women’s Leadership Accelerator. I help high-achieving professionals re-remember who they are, reconnect to what matters most, and take ownership of their careers so they can lead on their own terms.
My clients will tell you I mix empathetic, nonjudgmental curiosity with sharp business acumen — the perfect balance of champion and challenger. I don’t just give you the “how.” I help you uncover the “why” that fuels your leadership, so you can stop running on someone else’s track and start moving toward your own definition of success.
I used to envy people who knew exactly what they wanted to do with their lives. You know the type: they have a passion when they’re young and there’s an obvious and even lucrative(!) career path that corresponds to that passion. I used to think: must be nice. I wasn’t so lucky. I was lost in a buffet of too many choices. If I picked wrong, I feared it would wreck everything.
So I did what many ambitious people do: I chased “should.” I asked myself not “what do I love?” but “what would others find impressive?” That’s how I ended up in corporate finance in New York. It’s how I ended up at a top business school. I basically spent my early life and career with “should” plastered across my nametag at networking events. On paper, it all looked good: Great GPA, impressive titles, steady promotions, glowing resume. Inside, though? I was on autopilot. I felt numb and resigned to a fate of “meh.”
The thing about should is… it’s sneaky. It can creep up slowly over time. It can convince you that your life is just fine and that you should be quiet and just be grateful for what you have. But deep down, I knew something was missing. Joy and excitement at work were missing. And therefore, I was missing.
Eventually, I stopped running on fumes. I stopped chasing “should” and started non-judgmentally listening to myself instead. That choice (scary as it was) changed everything. Today, I coach leaders who are right where I was: high-achieving, hardworking, and quietly wondering if this is really all there is.
If you’ve landed here, you may feel that same tug. That whisper that autopilot isn’t cutting it anymore. You’re ready for something more.
It’s time to go from autopilot to intentional leadership.
Now, I coach high-achieving professionals across industries — from Fortune 500 leaders to startup founders — helping them step off autopilot and into leadership that’s intentional, confident, and energizing. My work combines executive coaching, career development, and strategic leadership training to help clients navigate change, build influence, and lead with purpose.
I also speak at conferences, corporate events, and leadership retreats nationwide, delivering keynotes and workshops that inspire audiences to take bold, strategic steps in their careers.
I’m multi-passionate to my core. I feel just as at home working intimately with a client on a breakthrough as I do on stage in front of hundreds of people. The same is true in my personal life: I’m as happy in a dive bar as I am dressed to the nines for a gala. My TV tastes range from The Wire to Severance, and my podcast queue jumps from Amy Poehler to Ezra Klein. I believe the best leaders bring their whole selves to the table, and I do the same in my coaching.
